Pink October

Official poster and limited-edition ‘Le Sein-Germain’ currency for Pink October in Saint-Germain-en-Laye: de-gendering breast cancer prevention, featuring 3D tokens with a tactile effect.

How can we de-gender breast cancer communication to include men, without however ignoring the reality of women, who remain the most affected ?

This limited-edition currency is part of a circular economy initiative. The tokens are produced using eco-friendly 3D printing, utilising PLA (a compostable bioplastic) to reduce the carbon footprint.

Heads: 3D printing allows production to be tailored: 9 out of 10 tokens depict female breasts, and 1 out of 10 a male torso. Finding this ‘male token’ becomes a rare occurrence that sparks conversation.

Heads: There is a micro-anomaly at the centre of the token. By mechanically rubbing the token in one’s pocket, this tactile nudge transforms the act of palpation into an everyday habit.
